Different people eat different amounts of food. The amount of food and type of food consumed by a person depends upon gender, age, occupation and physical activity of a person.

From birth till four months of age, small babies take milk. Only milk is able to fulfill their body needs. Growth and Food Needs

Growing children need to eat proper amounts of a balanced diet. This diet can include chappatis, rice, vegetables, dal, dosa, idli, utpam, sambhar, fruits and milk.

Growth and Food Needs People, who do hard physical labour eat more chappatis and rice, as compared to those who do their work while sitting in an office
