Enter (Scan) Pick List or Turnaround Number
Picking Process Enter (Scan) Pick List or Turnaround Number Employee Sign On Scan or Key an XA Pick List# or Pick List Turnaround#. The pick list or turnaround# must be valid in XA, and must be valid for the company and warehouse the RF user is working with. The pick list may not be part of a multiple order consolidated pick list. The pick list may not contain any kit items. The pick list must not be currently locked to RF (i.e. a Shipment is being created, or another user is currently in progress of Verifying the Pick List). If the pick list does not yet exist in RF: The Pick Header status must be 0 (Unpicked). If Containerizing, all items must have a packed container code of ‘3’ (open/ok for staging). If at least one item has not been Pick Completed: If Guided Picking is not active, the Enter Item# screen will display. If Guided Picking is active, the Pick List item will be flagged In Use, and the Enter Pick Quantities screen will display for the next item to be picked. If multiple pickers are picking for the same Pick List, the next applicable item that is not currently in use will be selected. When an item# has been successfully selected for pick, this screen will display if the item has not been discretely allocated, or if the item is a non-inventory item. Pick List#, Item#, Item Description, quantity required to pick, quantity picked, and quantity remaining to pick for this item will display. Staging Location will display if pick quantities for this item have been previously entered. Quantities entered and displayed will be Unit quantities (based on the order item’s stocking unit of measure). If the quantity remaining to pick is less than or equal to zero, it will blink, in red. Scan/key location picking from and unit quantity being picked: Pick quantity may not be zero or less. Batch/Lot will be available only if the XA environment is tailored for batch/lot processing, and only if the item is a batch/lot item. Location and Batch/Lot will be allowed only if the item is an inventory item. Location entry will be disallowed if the item is a non-inventory item. If this is the first pick quantity entry for the item, the user will be prompted to enter an appropriate staging location. If Containerization is active, and if the “Allow Pick List items to different Containers” feature has been selected in RF Environment Controls, a valid container type must also be entered and optionally, a container ID. If Container ID is entered, and if the container already exists in XA, the entered Container Type and staging location must match that of the existing container. If an entered Container ID already exists for a previously picked but unpacked item, the entered Container Type and staging location must match that of the previously entered item. If no Container ID is entered, the item will be packed into a container beginning with the Pick List number. If the item is an inventory item, and if insufficient inventory exists in the picking location, an appropriate error or warning will display, depending on RF Environment Control settings. Upon successful entry of a pick location/quantity, if the item is an inventory item, inventory will be transferred (via XA PMC TW transactions) from the entered location to either the Staging location (non-containerization) or the appropriate Hold location (if containerizing). Badge# will be available in Inventory History for transaction tracking purposes. RF location information and control totals will be adjusted appropriately.
