5 Freshman Center schedule: Six sixty minute periods Core courses run all year long Some full credit electives Some half credit electives (every other day) Lunch built into period 4 class PRIDE Daily Schedule Period 1-60 minutes Period 2-60 minutes Period 3-60 minutes Period 4-90 minutes, includes lunch Period 5-60 minutes Period 6-60 minutes

7 2015 Required Courses: Full credit core courses: English Social Studies General Science Mathematics Half credit (meets every other day) Physical Education

8 What level do I take? Each of the core courses is available at an honors or college & career preparatory level. Some courses are offered in a cyber format and are noted with a “C” in the Program of Studies. Students requesting cyber courses are REQUIRED to attend an information session and participate in an orientation session prior to the start of the school year. Parent permission is also required. Your teachers and parents can help you decide what is right for you.

12 The Plan Take the Course Selection Packet home and go over it with your parents/guardians. Talk to your teachers, counselors, brothers/sisters/cousins, and older friends about what courses you should take. Complete and return the first page of the Packet (Parent Signature Page/Course Selection Page) to your homeroom teacher by Wednesday, February 6 th, 2013.
