3 September 17, 2013 Periods 3 & 4 Make sure you have copied the Freshwater Food Web into your journal. Using the food web, complete the Who’s Who sheet to turn in for a grade!! Copy 4 Defintions Game

4 September 17 2013 Period 5 Copy the Organisms Graphic Organizer on the Board In groups of 3-4 organize the Freshwater Organism cards into a food web. In your journal draw the food web using arrows and the names of the organisms only. Complete the Who’s Who Sheet to turn in for a grade!

11 September 18, 2013 Pre-AP In your journal, write a short summary of how food, water and land (shelter) are important components of a habitat. Glue in the graph information. You will be assigned a number for a short game we will play. You will graph the data from the game.

12 September 18, 2013 On your desk is a ½ piece of paper with some of the factors that were presented in the game played yesterday. Decide if the factor limited population growth or allowed population growth. (Did you have to go backward or forward?) Then decide if the factor was biotic or abiotic. Check the correct boxes.

14 Procedure 1.One person will get supplies 2.Set down paper towel on your desk. Place the yellow cup on top. 3.Observe the sugar, then pour into the cup. 4.Observe the yeast, then pour into cup. Stir. 5.Are there any changes? 6.Pour the water into the cup and stir gently. 7.Set the cup aside and wait.

What did you learn about how yeast depends on and may compete for abiotic resources?
