“The Key to God’s Provision and Protection-Part 2”
2
Protection and Provision are guaranteed in the Covenant
3
What Is a Covenant? “A binding agreement between two or more parties expressly for the performance of some action. -- Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary
4
God’s Covenant With the Israelites Blood on the doorposts God protected the entire nation while judgment fell all around them. God not only protected but also provided.
5
The Exodus of the Israelites 600,000 men Around 2.5 million total Israelites Red Sea crossing: –If path was wide enough for 10 people and 800 miles long. –Would have taken 50 days and nights to cross.
6
However, it took them one day and night to cross. So the path must have been 5,000 people wide!
7
Their Weapons Washed ashore from the Egyptians following their drowning in the Red Sea!
8
Our Weapons “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ…”
9
Food Provisions for the Israelites Food enough for 2.5 million people. Would take two trains 1 ½ miles long each filled with food for each day. Water enough for 2.5 million people for 40 years. Take a train 1800 miles long filled with water.
10
God provided 11 million gallons of water per day from a rock!
11
God provided $20 billion worth of quail for them to eat!
12
When God makes a covenant with you He will keep it!
13
Your provision and protection in the future, come in your understanding of the covenant of God!
14
You Must Understand the Blessings of a Covenant Relationship Malachi 3:16-18 “Book of Remembrance.” Good Stewardship Parable of the talents
15
Part of the Covenant of Protection and Provision is… Obedience to God Giving to God
16
Psalm 50:1-5 “The Mighty One, God the Lord, has spoken and called the earth from the rising of the sun to its going down. Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God will shine forth. Our God shall come, and shall not keep silent; A fire shall devour before Him, and it shall be very tempestuous all around Him. He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that He may judge His people: ‘Gather My saints together to Me, those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.’”
17
Everyone Must Build a Memorial When you give, you are planting a memorial before God. When you pray, you are planting a memorial before God. When you work for the Lord, you are planting a memorial before God.
18
The Seven I Will’s of Psalm 91 1.I will deliver him – vs. 14 2.I will set him on high – vs. 14 3.I will answer him – vs. 15 4.I will be with him in trouble – vs. 15 5.I will deliver him and honor him vs.15 6.I will satisfy him – vs. 16 7.I will show him My salvation – vs. 16

A Covenant Relationship With God “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, by as much as He is also the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion for a second…When He said, ‘A New Covenant’, He has made the first obsolete.” Hebrews 8:6-7,13
20
God Has a Covenant With You -- Made Possible by Grace, appropriated by faith and carried out in love. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8-10
