2 Poor time management skills Feeling overwhelmed Issues or events in personal life Too many distractions (internet, TV, phone) It is human nature to do what we want/ what’s more appealing to us. Why do we procrastinate? Having good time management skills makes you feel less stressed and more in control of your life.

3 Time Management Tips Concentrate on one thing at a time. Keep a notepad next to you to write down things you are thinking about and that are distracting you Get them out of your mind and refocus Study difficult or less interesting subject matter first. Get them out of the way before moving on to more appealing subject matter

4 Time Management Tips Electronics = Distraction Put away your cell phone, turn off your TV, and get off social media before beginning work Having a friend change your passwords to social media sites before big exams will help you stay off them while studying Say NO Learn to say no when you have a lot of work to do Whether it’s friends hanging out or taking on another shift at work, put your schooling first and take on more later

5 Treat Yourself Reward yourself for working hard. Take a break each time you read a chapter or write a page. Set mini goals for you to achieve as you study. Be Active Study in an environment where you won’t want to fall asleep You need to be energized! Time Management Tips

7 Typefocus & Managing Your Time Extravert The Extravert will probably be energized by working with others and may also get distracted and off task working with others. Introvert The Introvert will probably thrive on some time to work alone, but may get stuck in some aspect of the project and need someone else's perspective.

8 Typefocus & Managing Your Time Sensing The Sensing person may be drawn to organization but could miss some of the wider possibilities available. He or she may see time in a positive or neutral way. iNtuitive iNtuitive The iNtuitive individual may be aware of a rich world of possibilities, but could bog down in the process of choosing. The iNtuitive may experience sadness in the passage of time.

9 Typefocus & Managing Your Time Thinking The Thinking type will be comfortable with a logical ordering of what needs to get done, but may get stuck if an assignment at work or school seems unreasonable or trivial. Feeling The Feeling type will be attuned to the meanings for and connections to people in the work at hand, but can be thrown off if there are misunderstandings or hurt feelings.

10 Typefocus & Managing Your Time Judging The person with a preference for Judging likes closure and getting a project "out the door" but can eliminate important ideas and information in her or his haste. Perceiving The Perceiving person has a preference for flexibility in the process but can struggle with getting his or her good ideas and projects finished and out into the world.
