Sets forth goals nursing homes can choose to work on Provides support for nursing homes to reach their goals Provides a way for nursing homes to measure their progress Works to strengthen the direct care workforce

Approximately 45 percent of US nursing homes have joined the AE campaign. Other nursing homes may choose a different path toward excellence.

Ask if your facility participates in the AE campaign. –If so, ask how you can be involved. –If not, suggest that your facility join. All CNAs can learn about the goals of AE. All CNAs can seek ways to improve the quality of care provided at the bedside.
