2. Method The most important thing to remember is that from your method anyone should be able to pick up your report and replicate your research. Remember that this study isn’t an experiment as the variables are not manipulated. Identify expected extraneous variables, how they might become confounding variables and how you might control for this. – Participants: A minimum number of 25, which should be divided between the group. You also need to identify the sample type and number of researchers. Identify the age, gender and background of the sample. – Apparatus*: Photos, standardised instructions, results table etc. – Procedures: You need to record everything you intend to do, in order, for example getting consent to getting the debrief. This will be the same for everyone in your group. Imagine this is a recipe, step-by-step. – Controls and ethics: What controls will you put in place e.g. noise, influence of others.
