There’s a right way and a wrong way to document data manually and from DAS at the same time … If you enter the data in the wrong sequence, you risk losing data or having to spend time on clean up. Wrong sequence: –Enter data manually –Download data from DAS –Save If you enter in the correct sequence you avoid any risk. Correct sequence: –Download data from DAS –Change time to match DAS time and DAS data will populate into the column you are charting in –Enter additional data manually –Save

INCORRECT steps to enter data from DAS and manual entry in same session 1 Manually enter Heart Rate and MAP 1st Download data from DAS for same exact time and click Save button 2 You will get an error message. Sometimes this confuses users into thinking that all the DAS data was saved previously so they exit without saving anything. If you get this message, you should go in and delete the one of the duplicate entries for that time frame and then save. If you enter data in the correct order, you will not have this problem. 3

CORRECT steps for entering data manually and from DAS in same session Download data from DAS & save 1 To enter additional data for that same time slot, change the time to match the DAS download time. The values you had charted will display. To enter a different value in a space, you’d have to remove the DAS values preventing you from having 2 items competing for one box. 2
