Knowledge comes from experience. Perception: “impressions” Direct sensations “ideas” Copies of impressions Human behavior is controlled by desire, not reason. No judgment on matters of fact are true because they have contraries. Rejected any rational or natural theology Bundle theorist: Humans are made of a bundle of perceptions that we use to define ourselves.
