3  Knowledge comes from experience.  Perception:  “impressions”  Direct sensations  “ideas”  Copies of impressions  Human behavior is controlled by desire, not reason.  No judgment on matters of fact are true because they have contraries.  Rejected any rational or natural theology  Bundle theorist: Humans are made of a bundle of perceptions that we use to define ourselves.
