Article Exchange A cloud-based document delivery tool for: 1.lending libraries to deliver articles to borrowing libraries 2.borrowing libraries to deliver articles to their end users.

Article Exchange: What is it? Once the file has been picked up for the first time, it will remain available on this site for 5 days. After 5 days, the file will be removed. A file can be picked up a maximum of 5 times for each URL/password combination. Files that are never picked up will be removed after 30 days.

Workflow for an article held electronically by a lending library Home library notifies the end user is it available and the end user has xx number of days to download the article Lending library follow link, prints out and scans the article, uploads the article to Article Exchange and notifies the home library that is available for them The lending library cannot give the borrowing library access to their licensed journals but they can provide the article WorldShare ILL integrates with the Knowledge Base to provide the lending library with a URL to the article requested by the borrowing library Home library uses WorldShare ILL to locate the article from a lending library End user wants a journal article not held by their “home” library

Workflow for an ebook from a Marketplace partner End user has xx days to access and view the item Borrowing library notifies the end user it is available Marketplace partner has an ebook and provides a link to the borrowing library within minutes of the borrowing library placing the request Home library uses WorldShare ILL to locate the book from other libraries or from a Marketplace partner End user wants a book not held by their “home” library
