ecomdash http://ecomdash.com Ecomdash Academy Lesson Plan Quantity On Hand vs. Available Quantity 1:08 / 4:27

ecomdash http://ecomdash.com In ecomdash, we have ‘Quantity on Hand’ and ‘Available Quantity’. Quantity on hand is used as the true quantity of your product. Available Quantity is used to set different quantity levels for different storefronts within ecomdash.

ecomdash http://ecomdash.com Quantity on Hand You can also view the quantity by clicking on the binoculars to open up the product details

ecomdash http://ecomdash.com Available Quantity To access the available quantity feature, click into the product details of a product and click the storefronts tab.

ecomdash http://ecomdash.com Available Quantity In ecomdash, we automatically set the available quantity balance to 999 and have the always sync available quantity checkbox unchecked. This is because we sync the lower of Quantity on Hand and Available Quantity. If you check this box, we will ‘Always’ sync the available quantity balance, regardless of your quantity on hand. This means that if your quantity on hand is 0 and you have the ‘always sync available quantity’ box checked we will always sync a 999 or the quantity that is set for available quantity.

ecomdash http://ecomdash.com Quick Examples 1)Lets say I have a quantity on hand balance of 50 for a product and this product is listed on eBay and Amazon. Because of listing limits, I only want to show 5 on eBay and 15 on Amazon. I will keep my quantity on hand to be 50 and change the available quantity to be 5 for eBay and 15 for Amazon. a)This will push out a balance of 5 for eBay and 15 for Amazon. We will continue to track your true quantity on hand in the process. Once the balance drops below 5 or 15, we will sync out the balance of quantity on hand since we sync the lower of the two balances. 2) If you leave the 999 that is set for available quantity and you only have a quantity on hand of 100, we will sync out 100 and reduce your quantity on hand as needed and sync out your balance by using your quantity on hand. 3) If you check the ‘Always Sync Available Qty’ box, we will always sync out that balance that is set. b) Lets say I have a quantity of 0 for my product but I have ‘Always sync available qty’ checked, the system will sync out a 999 no matter what the quantity on hand is.
