About our speaker.... 09 Bruce Oestreich: “V22 Deployment Status / Update” AHS Dinner Meeting, September 9, 2008 Bruce Oestreich is the recently appointed Director of Systems Engineering for all of Boeing Rotorcraft. In this capacity, Bruce leads the efforts to strengthen the Systems Engineering discipline in all rotorcraft programs as well as instill the culture across Engineering and throughout Program Management. Prior to this assignment, Bruce was the Director of V-22 Weapon System Integration where he was responsible for the overall systems integration aspects of the Boeing V-22 portion, including the engineering, manufacturing, operations, product support, and new product development. Bruce has been with Boeing for over 20 years, rising up through the engineering and program management ranks. Prior to joining Boeing, Bruce flew as a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force flying primarily F- 16s and the F-117 Stealth Fighter. In 1991, Bruce was recalled to Active Duty where he flew Combat Missions in support of Operation Desert Storm. Along with holding two patents, Bruce has published numerous technical papers for AHS, SAE, AIAA, and presented at many domestic and international forums. He holds a Master's Certification in Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology.
