2 BIOGRAPHY Gary (Indiana), 29 August 1958 – The Angels (United States) 25 June 2009. He was a great singer, composer, producer, choreographer, actor and dancer of music pop. His family was composed by his father, Joseph Walter, his mother, Katherine Esther Scruse, and his eight brother and sisters, which he was the 7 th.

3 THE JACKSON 5 Michael Jackson always dreamed of being an artist, so he formed part of his brothers’ group soon. The manager of the group was his father. For all these reasons, Michael was educates into the music and television world. They began recording their albums. Some singles were: “I want you back”, “ABC”, “The love you save” and “I’ll be there”.

4 SINGLE CAREER Michael Jackson began his single career in 1971 with his first album “Got to be there”, which sold almost 2 million copies. At the same time, Michael was in chart topping for his single career and his brothers’ group. Moreover, Michael Jackson had enough fame due to his fabulous music videos, for example, “Thriller”

5 HIS AWARDS AND HIS RECORDS He more Grammys in one year: 13 Grammys Awards. He has sold more record: 750 million units. It also has received more awards: 405, for example, 22 American Music Awards and 17 number one singles.

6 HIS PROBLEMS Jackson was also famous for his scandalous life. Some people believe that his strange behavior was originated by his hard childhood. As he was growing, he began to bleach his skin until he become white. Furthermore, he changed his noise. Another great problem to him was he was accused of child sexual abuse, but the police did not find evidence and, for this reason, he was acquitted. Moreover, he was so crazy that he held his son over a hotel balcony in Berlin.

7 CURIOSITIES He has donated money to 39 NGOs. It was the first person with two stars on the Walk of Fame Hollywood. The famous band who always wore on his arm meant his protest against child poverty

8 THESIS His skills in the music and dance were obvious. However, all the genius had had a point of madness, and Michael Jackson was not an exception. The beginning of his madness was his hard childhood. Moreover, other important point to stress is his illness, which is called Peter Pan. Consequently, Michael Jackson called his house “Neverland” which is a theme park since he thought that he always had to enjoy himself.

9 CONCLUSION Had Michael Jackson been a great star if he would not have had all these problems and his strange illness? Has his music had effects on people? The key of his success was his illness (Peter Pan’s syndrome), because this disease was the cause of his madness, which made him a really genius. Because of this idea, we could think that if he had not been sick, he would not have been so creative. We might say that his strange behavior was admired for a lot of fans since they want to be like him. Moreover some fans copied his clothing and his ways of acting. However, his fans’ obsessions have gone to be madness, because somebody, when he died, wants to die too.
