Key Responsibilities: Carry out the vision of the Public Art Plan Commission works of public art Designate sites where public art would be an asset Serve as the artist selection panel Research funding opportunities, such as grants Market and advertise the public art program and individual public art projects

IMPLEMENTATION: PUBLIC ART COMMISSION Commission Membership: 9 appointed members 2 civic/business leaders 3 arts professionals 4 at-large community members 4-year terms Subcommittees: Community Engagement Project Implementation Others as Commission sees fit (grant writing?)

IMPLEMENTATION: FUNDING Host partner organizations’ art on City or County property Donations and Grants Crowdfunding Construction project budgets City Public Art Reserve City Occupancy Tax Investigate Percent for Art for Capital Projects

NEXT STEPS Consider whether to adopt Public Art Plan If both City and County adopt plan, develop interlocal agreement Determine if there will be any budgeted funding for public art installation Appoint Public Art Commission
