NCH Stands in the Gap o The Uninsured o The Underserved Insured - “Under-insured” Low-income individuals with inadequate coverage High deductibles so only have preventive care along with catastrophic coverage No prescription assistance o Individuals with Medicaid, Medicare and other programs Many providers in our area do not accept Medicaid Capped the number of Medicaid patients they will see Having access to an insurance card does not necessarily mean access to care Access Gaps are Changing
