1. Row to rio Newquay Tretherras Health Week “Row to Rio” 8972 KM

2. “Row to Rio” Yr 7 Challenge Thursday 30 th April P3, P4, P5  In tutor groups you will row the distance from Newquay to Rio De Janerio – 8972km  Tutors will need to split their group into two teams. The times achieved by both teams to row the distance will be added together and an average score allocated.  The race is relay style and each student will row between 650m-850m each. This can be done in chunks or in a job lot, this needs to be considered by the tutor and group in their tactical planning before the race!

3. Prizes Prizes will be allocated for the following;  Fastest tutor group to “Row to Rio”  Tutor Group that raises the most sponsorship money  Individual Student who raises the most sponsorship money

4. “HEALTH WEEK” HEALTHY ACTIVE LIFESTYLES  For the next 5-6 years you will have access to the fitness suite three times a week after school and during lesson times. Currently we have no working treadmill therefore we would like to raise money for a new one.  We would like students to raise sponsorship for their part in the Row to Rio challenge. The PTA will match any money raised by Yr7, to help buy a new treadmill for the fitness suite.

5. Logistics Thursday 30 th April – All year 7 students to wear PE kit to school. Students need to go straight to the Main Hall (senior end) at the following times;  P3 – JMH, SM, KS, BJM  P4- SIR, JSS, KHP, RHK  P5- KPP, ESH, CE Don’t forget to bring a drink! Even if you are injured you will be involved in the event! Sponsorship forms and further instructions will be in tutor packs Good Luck!
