1 Nikola Tesla Nikola Tesla was born in Serbian village Smiljan on 10 July 1856 in the priest’s family and had three sisters and one elder brother. In 1862 he and his family moved to Gospić.

2 Working at Budapest, Paris, New-York.
Till 1882 Tesla worked in Budapest. In 1882 Tesla moved to Paris an began working for Continental Edison Company, but resigned in 1884. Tesla went to New-York on 6th July 1884 where got a job at Edison Machine Works. After accident between Nikola and Edison Tesla resigned, soon establishing his own company.

3 Tesla’s Art Light Company.
In 1887 Tesla established his own company, which became very popular. The main office of the company was situated near the main office of Edison's company. Americans call this period «War of Currents».

4 Laboratory in New-York and Colorado Springs.
Tesla became popular very fast; he was invited to work at Pittsburg, saw the Exposition Universelle (1889), read lections at American Institute of Electrical Engineers, also he was working at his own projects. But on 13th march of 1895 at Tesla’s laboratory was a fire, and all inventions and equipment was destroyed. In 1899 Tesla moved to Colorado Springs, where he founded new laboratory.

5 The end of the life. Nikola Tesla died at the night from 7th to 8th January He was hit by the car, but despite the fact that he didn’t get any serious injuries caught pneumonia that was the reason of his death. Interesting facts: Tesla had lot of phobias and hardly controlled himself. He was afraid of microbes. Also he had the second sight, and once he even saved life of his friends. Tesla hated earrings. Nikola had only 4 hours a day for resting.

6 Innovations. RF coil of the transformer. Radio waves.
Theory of rotating magnetic field , first electrocars, Niagara GES. «Method of Operating Arc-Lamps» and etc. Also there are lot of myths and legends about Nikola Tesla such as “Tesla’s papers”, “Philadelphia experiment”, “Ray weapons”, “Tunguska event”, etc.

7 “I’m working not for present anymore but for future.”
