4 Domestic Chemicals Priorities NIP for Stockholm Convention Continuity : establishment of the USQ/UNIDO/GEF, capabilities inventory, distribution of responsabilities, POPs and COPNI inventories development. SAICM Quick Start Program / participation in ICCM2. Updating the Chemicals´National Profile. Rotterdam Convention:Implementation and participation in the Review Committee. Cooperation and synergies in SMOC/ CEC. Participation in UNEP forums : Hg, IFCS.

5 MASQ/CCA Activities Stablishment of the basis for the SMOC- development of chemical inventory with focus on regional comparability, Implementation of GHS. Regional approach to monitoring, PRONAME. Reduction or elimination of hazards of substances of common concern:Hg, D/F/HCB, Lindane, PBDEs. Improving the environmental performance of sectors through close collaboration with industry, artesanal production of bricks.

6 Priorities objetive Promote and ensure safe management of chemicals and hazardous materials in the country, by developing strengthening and improving the regulatory instruments, management and compliance with international commitments.
