Four Types of Committees Task Groups (TGs): formed when a new technical area develops that is relevant to ASHRAE Technical Committees (TCs): longstanding group of volunteers who provide expertise in a specific field or subject Technical Resource Groups (TRGs): formed with a specific concern in mind. Multidisciplinary Task Groups (MTGs): formed when need for activity in a field of interest that encompasses the expertise of TCs from two or more sections and/or from non-TC groups, such as standards committees Task Groups (TGs): formed when a new technical area develops that is relevant to ASHRAE Technical Committees (TCs): longstanding group of volunteers who provide expertise in a specific field or subject Technical Resource Groups (TRGs): formed with a specific concern in mind.
