Visibility of System Status Visibility of status was very well organized Dashboard style Highlight feature Left has common features Center has content of interest Right has status of the song Layered when focus is changed
3
Match Between System and World Layout was natural Navigation from left to right with toolbar on the left and content in the middle Search became overlay with the player Organized in a flowing way where everything flows
4
User Control and Freedom Playlist feature Radio feature Mobile version restricts specificity User guidance through song advisement
5
Consistency and Standards Front page consistent with large display ad and download button except you have to scroll to the very bottom to figure out pricing Seems consistent -> when you log in to account you get overview, profile, subscription, similar words as other sites so familiar and uniform Consistency with navigation on left, playlist +
6
Error Prevention Immediate suggestion Based on popularity Spelling mistake prevention
7
Recognition Rather Than Recall There is both a positive and a negative to adding a song to your playlist. To initially add a song the task is a bit confusing since there is no clearly marked indicator to show how to do so. In fact there are almost to many indicators so you don’t know exactly where to go to. Positive though is that you can play a song before adding it to your playlist without needing to go back and forth amongst pages and you can add literally a song from anywhere you may be listening to it from (even as you play it and continue browsing)
8
Flexibility and Efficiency of Use Post account feature confusing Assumes person knows what to do next No real guided process

Aesthetic and Minimalist Design The initial presentation is very nice and to the point. The user immediately knows that it is a media website even if they were guided there by accident. All the immediately usable features are displayed such as download, sign in, and going to the web player. Once the user starts to scroll further down there is bit too much clutter. All these features could have been clearly indicated under the features tab within the toolbar. This may seem a little overwhelming for a first time user. Contrast – bold text Repetition – color, toolbar across pages and when scrolling Alignment – text is well aligned to the left with logo on right Proximity – text is evenly spaced
