Flags Each verb in Spanish combines a “base” with a “flag”. Each verb in Spanish combines a “base” with a “flag”. “Hablar” for instance has a base called “habl” and a flag “ar”. “Hablar” for instance has a base called “habl” and a flag “ar”.
