Telling someone what you think about a book. A book reviewer’s job is to tell the world their expert opinion on the book. You include what the book is about, main points, but usually they do not give away the ending. You can tell how the reviewer feels about the book, but you do not have to take that opinion as your own If you read a book review, you may want to read a few more on that book to get a feel for the book.
5
Choose a book you are currently reading or have read Choose one that interests you and you can form opinions about. For our book review, choose a fiction story. A fiction story is a story that is made up. The events could happen in some cases but are not actual events!
6
What is the book about? What is the main idea of the book? Who are the main characters in the book? Which character did you like the most? Would you want to read another book by the same author? Why or why not? Who would like this book? Who would NOT like it? Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
7
First, gather information about the author Then, write a summary of the book. Next, start to evaluate the plot, characters, and setting Finally Write an outline of your book review. It can look like this:

I. Introduction II. Summary of the book III. Setting o A. When and Where the story takes place o B. Brief Description of setting and your comments on it IV. Characters o A. Main Character 1 1. 9
Start by drafting the body. USE YOUR OUTLINE TO HELP Then draft the introduction and the conclusion Don’t worry too much about your grammar and spelling while you draft, you can fix those up later!
