5 Lenoir City Schools Asthma - 91 students have Asthma IHP’s (4%) Teen Pregnancy – 52% of all HS students have had sex (YRBS) – Loudon County teen pregnancy rates: Number of pregnancies with rates per 1,000 females aged 15-17

6 Lenoir City Schools Violence – 171 Skyward entries for fights and violence (7% of total student population) – 4.5% of HS students brought a weapon to school at least once in the last 30 days. (YRBS) – 17% of HS have been bullied at school. (YRBS) – 5.5% of HS students missed school because of fear of being bullied. (YRBS) – 7% of HS students have been threatened with a weapon while on school property (YRBS) – 10% of HS students have been physically hurt (intentionally) by their boyfriend or girlfriend. (YRBS)

7 Lenoir City Schools Physical Activity: – 18% of HS students got 60 minutes or more physical activity in the past 7 days. (YRBS) Breakfast: – 60% of LCS is eligible for free or reduced lunch/breakfast 85% at LCES 73% at LCMS 43% at LCHS ADHD – 176 students (7.5%) have IHP (medication at school)

8 Lenoir City Schools 12% of HS students have seriously considered suicide in the past 12 months. (YRBS) 7% of HS students have attempted suicide in the past 12 months. (YRBS) 19% of HS students have engaged in binge drinking within the last 30 days. (YRBS) 19% of HS students have been offered illegal drugs while on school campus. (YRBS)
