Course: Sport Psychology Research Topic:An area of your interest in Sport Psychology Assignment: Write a 14 page research paper on any aspect of sport psychology that includes: Statement of the problem Literature review Data collected from a survey or questionnaire Analysis of results

Course: Foundations of Educational Inquiry Research Topic: Early Childhood Education Assignment:  Write a proposal of an aspect of early childhood education that interests you. Include: Statement of the problem Significance of the problem Review of the Literature Plan of inquiry and Resources

5 Will your students be ready for college? Course: Physics for Science Teachers Research Topic: How does Physics affect our lives? Assignment:  Choose an area of physics conducive to problem solvings (e.g., physical force, centrifuge).  Conduct an experiment or apply a concept to solve a problem (e.g., How can force be used to separate particles in solution to produce a medicinal drug?)  Write a report in science format and publish it electronically in WebCT.  Work with a partner to assess the work of another student which you access from WebCT.

6 Will your students be ready for college? Course: CORE Science Research Topic: Consciousness Assignment:  Write a two page paper that defines consciousness.  Use at least two sources other than the class textbook.

Course: Introduction to Scientific Archeology Research Topic: Analyzing artifacts from an archeological dig Assignment:  Study the contents of the packet from a dig in Belise that contains: organic remains; map and background information of the site; pottery shards and dates; floral and faunal remains; radio carbon dates; cross-section view of three features on the site (3 mounds that had occupation levels, two of which were burials).  Write a 4-7 page paper that analyzes the site using what you learned in lab.  Answer five outlining questions (e.g., Include any hypothesis you derive from the site such as migration patterns).

Course: Children’s Literature Research Topic: Books for children Assignment:  Choose a theme in literature for children (e.g., disabilities) and a grade level range.  Compile an annotated bibliography of 50 books for children that includes, reading level, full citations, and annotations.
