Challenge Two fires merged into “complex” management in different states & under two different coordination centers Travel / logistical support distance between ICP and Laurel Falls Fire Fires burning in three different federal jurisdictions First team assignment without Wilder Quick ramp up & ramp down Actions Had to reconcile IA/EA resource orders. Had to reconcile accts. Had to continue to order thru 2 Coordination Centers, but “receive & distribute” as appropriate. Remote hotel spike camp and base. Separate briefings stretched C&G capability. Would have had to make changes if it didn’t rain. Recognized need for and obtained Del of Authority from Cherokee Agency, Great Smoky Mtns NP and Blue Ridge Parkway.
