2 Indirect object pronouns tellsto whom or for whom an action is for Indirect object pronouns replace indirect object NOUNS Indirect object pronouns are placed either before the verb OR attached to the infinitive is often used for either A + noun or pronoun emphasis OR clarification

3 INDIRECT OBJECT PRONOUNS (to/for) ME (to/for) YOU (to/for) HIM; HER; YOU (to/for) US (to/for) THEM; YOU (A mí) me (A ti) te (A él/A ella/A Ud.) le (A nosotros) nos (A ellos/A Uds.) les

4 Ejemplos: 1) I want to buy her candy (indirect object pronoun BEFORE the verb) (indirect object pronoun ATTACHED to the infinitive) 2) I love candy! ( use “A mí” for emphasis) 3) Her body aches. (use “A ella” for CLARIFICATION) Le quiero comprar dulces Quiero comprarle dulces ¡A mí me encantan los dulces! A ella le duele el cuerpo.

5 The following verbs use the indirect object pronouns The verbs all use the similar construction: indirect object pronoun + verb + subject to bore to ache to love to fascinate to like to matter to interest to bother to seem to fit aburrir doler encantar fascinar gustar importar interesar molestar parecer quedar
