7 English 100 Monday, 8-17-15 Traditionally, intelligence has been understood to be fixed, that everyone is born with a certain level of intelligence and he/she must then live with that level throughout life. In this case, one can reach his or her limit with regard to learning. But, recent brain research is showing us that this traditional view of intelligence is inaccurate. This research is telling us that intelligence is malleable and can be improved upon with appropriate stimulation.
