2 Ferdinand Magellan Magellan was supported by Spain and came from Seville Spain. Magellan left Spain in 1519 and didn’t return until 1525. Magellan went to the spice islands the east way and the west way but didn’t make it the west way because America was in the way. Magellan’s accomplishments were going around the world and founding the Magellan strait.

3 Sir Francis Drake England Supported the Expedition of Sir Francis drake. Sir Francis drakes dates of exploration were 1577- 1580Sir Francis drakes Journey was sailing around the world. Sir Francis drake helped defeat the Spanish Armada, and he was the first Englishman to sail around the world.

4 Hernando Cortez Hernando Cortez was supported by Spain. Hernando Cortez did exploration from 1502-1540 Hernando Cortez’s journeyed to Mexico and Moctezuma’s Kingdom Ovando voyage the expedition to Cuba and many others. Hernando Cortez accomplishments were making settlements in Mexico and taking over the Aztecs.

5 Fernando de Soto Spain supported De Soto. De Soto went to find Cibola from 1539 to 1542. De Sotos Journey was to Cibola. His accomplishments were exploring central northern America.
