Recycling is a process of reusing used materials into new products
Recyclabe materials include many things like glass, metal, plastic, textiles and electronics

3. Why should we recycle? It protects the enviroment
Products from recycled materials are cheaper
It requires less energy

4. Saving forests
By recycling used paper, we can save the forests and preserve the nature

5. Recycling in Slovakia
It’s estimated that each Slovak creates around 327kg of trash every year, however this number is not accurate, as it doesn’t include trash which was thrown out illegally
Illegal trash is usually thrown out near roads, forests or lakes and burned to avoid taxes

6. In Slovakia, we have three kinds of trash bins for recycling
Blue – Paper waste
Yellow – Plastic waste
Green – Glass waste
