The Role of Social Organizations Many social organizations organize people into classes such as: Medical – doctors, nurses, patients Education – Superintendents, teachers, students Sports – Coaches, players, referees Society – lower class, middle class, upper class In the past – Kings, Nobles, peasants What classes do we fit in? These classes, or strata, change as the time goes by

World View – is the beliefs about the limits and workings of the world shared by the members of a society. These are represented in their myths, lore, ceremonies, social conduct, and general values.

Decision Making In our society interdependence is very obvious. The problem with an interdependent society is that often all aspects of a society do not agree. This requires a decision making process.

Decision Making In what ways can this be done? One of the major concerns of a society is the ability of the society to allocate power to the certain organizations Power is the ability to make decisions as well as the ability to carry them out How is power distributed in Canada?
