8 Name of Museum Childersburg is proclaimed as the oldest continually occupied city in America… dating back to 1540. The city’s beginnings date back to Coosa nation that was located in the area. Old Town C’burg Insert Artifact Picture Here Back to Room 1

9 Name of Museum This is the sigh under the rail road tracks in down town Childersburg. They repainted this about 2yrs ago it used to be just a gray thing under it but they city thought it would look a ton better if they would paint it. Artifact 3 Name Insert Artifact Picture Here Back To Room 1

10 Name of Museum This is the Kymuga bridge they built this back during the civil war, to get hide out in after each battle, now during Halloween they have a trail here for people that like that sort of stuff. The mill is over 140 yrs old and is still in its original spot in Talladega creek. The mill was built in 1840, by a German man. The Childersburg heritage committee bought the mill in 1988. 11 Name of Museum As you seen in room 1 this here is one of the few attractions in Childersburg. During Halloween lots of people go to the Grist Mill for the thrill of being frightened “I wouldn't want to go would you?” This is one of the best things to do if you have nothing to do on Halloween night. 12 Name of Museum Here is another great attraction in Childersburg. It is just a giant cave with artifacts In it. Many people come here as will as the Grist Mill. There are more things to go to in Desoto than just the cave you can do archery, go through a maze and even play a Basketball game there. 13 Name of Museum The “Rain Water House” was given to C.H. as a wedding gift on January 26, 1894 by his parents. On January 27, 1993 the city of Childersburg bought the old house and turn it into the museum that it is today “The Rain Water Museum” Artifact 7 Name Insert Artifact Picture Here Back to Room 2

14 Name of Museum There are many fast food places to eat at in the city of Childersburg. If you are thinking about going to Taco Bell try there nacho bell grande that is one of the best meal there. 15 Name of Museum The BK broilers time started in 1990, with the introduction on the market of the Broiled chicken sandwich for customers who liked fast food but also cared About health issues. The healthier food campaign launched as an instant success. This way the beginning of a new era in burger making started. Burger King! Insert Artifact Picture Here Back to Room 3

16 Name of Museum This place is fairly new to Childersburg but I no that they have a great selection of ribs steak BBQ sandwiches. They have the best hamburgers in town. 17 Name of Museum This is one of the best schools I have been to. I mean what other schools let you buy cokes and get out of class for thirty minutes, none that I no of. 18 Name of Museum Over 400 students attend this school today. That’s a lot of students for only three hallways to walk in. This school has been here for over 50 yrs. My dad also attended this school as a child. A.H Watwood Insert Artifact Picture Here Back to Room 4

19 Name of Museum Braxton Bragg Comer was born on November 7, 1848. He was the 33 rd governor of Alabama from 1907-1911. In 1886 his family moved to Anniston. He also worked at Avondale Mills in Sylacauga. After he died they named this school after him to dedicate his life. Sorry I could not find a picture of Childersburg elementary.
