Creativity Distinguish between Creativity and Composition Creativity is best thought of as a trait and practice that applies to many specific domains and activities. Composition is a specific domain or practice for which creativity is useful. Creativity can be learned. “Inherent Genius” model is simply not useful.

Creative Process Far from being mystical, most researchers have identified a consistent method to the creative process: 1.Preparation 2.Incubation 3.Illumination 4.Verification or revision Most creative people stress the amount of actual work that goes into creativity, rather than the “a-ha” moment. (“Chance favors the prepared mind.”)
6
Diversity and Experience “Creativity is multidimensional and experiential.” — Richard Florida Diverse experiences and perspectives Creative people usually have a broad array of interests.
