3. A Note to My Scholars Good Morning, Scholars! Yesterday I had oral surgery to have infection removed from my lower jaw bone, and for the first time in many weeks, I feel I am myself. The endodontist told me that this infection had been building on and off for years, pulling me down, and would have been apparent much earlier if I did not have such a good immune system. Needless to say, I had no idea. I was worried, though, about increasing exhaustion. Now I know. I feel terrific today! I have redone the curriculum for the term, dropping a reading response (three were planned), and beefing up the grammar. This weekend I will catch up on my grading. I’ll post grades and a revised schedule on Sunday. Mary
