Question Assess the effectiveness of nation states in resolving conflict with respect to world order Introduction The effectiveness of nation states in resolving conflict with respect to world order are evident through five contemporary issues. Primarily, these five recent events in Sudan, Israel, Syria, Russia and Rwanda will be analysed to the extent in which they resolved conflict. Secondly, relevant legal issues such as a nation state’s responsiveness and effectiveness, their responsibility to protect and the role of law will be evaluated. Finally, the significance to which NGOs, IGOs and other key legal and non-legal measures and responses aided the nation state will be assessed.

Secondly, repeated violation of international, and even domestic law highlighted a nation state’s ease to fail in their responsibility to protect and of the role of law. Finally, legal and non-legal measures and responses demonstrate the ineffectiveness of nation states in resolving conflict. This was proven through the responsiveness, effectiveness and significance to which NGOs and IGOs were forced to assist nation states.
