1
An unusual form of energy production By Mike Bratcher And Matthew Moss
2
So what is Browns gas / HHO? HHO is a mixture of Hydrogen and Oxygen gases. Typically a 2:1 ratio (HHO). An environmentally safe type of gas, when burned, it does not release any pollutants, and turns into water!
3
Brief History HHO was discovered by Yull Brown while working at a laboratory in Australia in 1958. Yull Brown discovered that hydrogen and oxygen gas can be safely mixed. The result is Brown's Gas, a hydrogen and oxygen mixture that can be economically generated, compressed, and used safely.
4
How is it produced? Brown's Gas is produced by the electrolysis of water which uses an electric current to break down the water molecules into their gaseous state.

Video Example
6
Chemical Equation electrolysis: 2 H 2 O → 2 H 2 + O 2 combustion: 2 H 2 + O 2 → 2 H 2 O
7
Usage of HHO gas HHO is mainly used in the welding Industry where high temperature torches are used. Temperatures of 2800 degrees can be achieved with a byproduct of water. HHO can be used as an addition to gasoline in motor vehicles which could increase the gas mileage between 50-60%
