4 The Middle Classes Had at least one live-in servant Father was an office worker or owned own business – not a manual worker Houses were small scale copies of wealthy homes Wife would not work Might have nanny for children

5 The Working Classes Divided up into skilled & non skilled Skilled workers could have comfortable life 1/3 poor below poverty line Poor housing, low standard of living
