2.2 Summarizing Data with Frequency Tables

Frequency Table – lists categories of scores, along with counts of the number of scores that fall into each category.

Lower class limits - smallest numbers that can actually belong to the different classes Upper class limits – largest numbers belonging to each class Class boundaries – the numbers used to separate classes, but without the gaps created by class limits.

Class marks – midpoints of the classes. Class width – difference between two consecutive lower (or upper) class boundaries

Cumulative Frequency- sum of the current frequency for a class and all previous classes
