The Devil’s way is popular because he promotes “freedom” – no limitations (Gen. 2:16; 3:1ff) “Lasciviousness” (“licentiousness”) is to act without restraint; without limitations (Gal. 5:19) False teachers promise “liberty” (2 Pet. 2:18-19)

Christians have personal “liberties,” but may not use them to cause others to sin (1 Cor. 8:9; 10:29) Christians are “free,” but not free to sin (Gal. 5:13; 1 Pet. 2:16) Christians have a law of “liberty,” but not a liberty to sin (Jas. 1:25; 2:12) Let us live within God’s boundaries and be blessed and benefitted (parents, elders, self)!
