What is the MEGALODON? A giant version of a great white shark. Ruled the warm waters of Earth 70 to 10 million years ago.

Features Teeth: 7 inches long Bite Force: 10.8-18.2 tons Weight: 55-60 tons Length: 40-100 feet Diet: Giant turtles, dolphins, squids, fish, whales, etc.

Where did it live? Known to be worldwide Lived in warm waters since Earth’s water used to be warm.

Size 30 times larger than a great white shark Largest predatory fish that has ever lived.

Scientist Investigations Scientists found teeth and can investigate the size and characteristics of the Megalodon Shark was made mostly of cartilage and could not be preserved or fossilized.

Who named it? Swiss naturalist named Louis Agassiz named Megalodon in 1835 Born on May 28, 1807 and died on December 14, 1873 His wife was Elizabeth Cabot Agassiz
