Data Rates LONDON INTERNET EXCHANGE CAPTURES WORLD TITLE REF: 106 DATE: 22/09/04 The UK today claimed top spot in the world Internet communitywith news that the London Internet Exchange (LINX) now transmits more data than any other independent Internet hub on the planet. The announcement boosts government aims to make the UK a world leader in e-commerce. LINX - a not-for-profit organisation - is now passing a record 40 gigabits of data per second through the exchange at peak times.
