2 2 MERCHANDISING – EXTRA SPACE ALLOTMENT SEASONAL LAYDOWN SPACE IS AVAILABLE FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER!  Make an eye-catching display in the seasonal laydown space and use the following:  Towers  Lay Down Skid Space  Self Watering or Black Tables  HD will Partner with our in store service rep in advance for custom POGs to suit your stores potential and demographics!  Closer to the end of the event, consolidate remaining product in your permanent area in D28

3 3 Home Depot Responsibilities  Assist our service rep with merchandising, creating extra large pricing and feature signage  Keep area clean and tidy benches daily as they appear shopped  Water product 1-2 times per week  Cross merchandise displays with core attached product: soil, fertilizer, pottery etc… REP Responsibilities  Meet each delivery within 24 hours of delivery to merchandise  Monitor and maintain inventory levels on each visit  Display merchandising signage provided by Foliera

5 5 Plant Fest “START” Host: Delivery Date: HD Week 32: September 9-13, 2013 Product subject to slight changes

6 6 Plant Fest “END” Host: Delivery Date: HD Week 33: September 16-20, 2013 Product subject to slight changes

7 7 Merchandising Towers  Goal is to group same retails on each level of the tower  For example:  On one level, put $14.99 items: 6” ZZ, 6” Palm Ponytail, 5” Anthurium Upgrade, 5” Bromeliad Upgrade  On another level, put $12.88 items: 4.5” Money Tree Upgrade and 4” Promo Orchids  Customers can shop by price and clearly see their options  Simplifies price labeling – only need a few stickers around each level

8 8 What makes Plant Fest Successful?  Laydown space provided and set by Home Depot prior to deliveries arriving  Making extra pricing signage and Plant Fest signage  Attractive & inviting displays

9 9 Store Support  Ensure promos and special buys are positioned in high traffic locations to capitalize on impulse buys

10 10 Cross Merchandising  Pottery, soil and fertilizers are ideal for cross merchandising and increasing the average customers’ ticket  Potting stations are a great way to cross merchandise with ceramic pots and engage the customer Potting Station
