6. What is it? A private cloud platform providing Oracle databases on-demand to the UB community. UB's database as a service (DBaaS) offering. It’s an extension of the existing enterprise level database hosting currently offered.

7. Why do we need our DBs in the UB cloud? Users provision a database when they need it…not dependent on CIT’s timetable. It allows users to concentrate on their core business! Save money...who doesn't want more money? Save time...who couldn't use a bit more time? Data is secure and available when needed. Improvement over user’s current DB environment

Build new RAC with one or two nodes ($13,000 per node – x86 HP hardware).
