MALAGASY MONGOOSE Written by Bliss, Filip, Chloe and Layla-May A Malagasy mongoose is a part of the Mongoose family which includes Indian Grey Mongooses, Dwarf Mongooses and Meerkats.

In most cases, the Malagasy mongoose is pale brown or grey with dark stripes on its back and sides. Also, its length is 30-34cm long. In some cases, its tail is 24-30cm. APPEARANCE

A Malagasy Mongoose mainly eats small animals, such as rodents and also insects. The Mongoose is a carnivorous animal that have sharp canine teeth for tearing flesh. DIET

Malagasy Mongoose are also known as Broad-Striped Mongoose and give birth to a single pup each summer. They are nocturnal which means they mostly do their hunting at night when their prey are most active. This mammal is becoming threatened with extinction. OTHER FACTS
