2 Unit 2 ● Week 1 Vocabulary blossomed Sentence: Trading grew and blossomed, but it had problems. Example: We say that a tree has blossomed when its flowers appear in spring. Ask Your Partner: How have you blossomed this year? Definition: something that has grown and developed

3 Unit 2 ● Week 1 Vocabulary grumbled Sentence: “I’m so cold,” she grumbled.” Example: The neighbors grumbled about the noisy dog. Ask Your Partner: What have you grumbled about? Definition: complain about something in a low voice

4 Unit 2 ● Week 1 Vocabulary lonesome Sentence: “And you’d be so lonesome without your poultry friends!” Example: People feel lonesome when they are far from home. Ask Your Partner: Do you feel lonesome sometimes? Definition: feeling alone and wanting to be with others
