5 Attendance Package uTeachers Will Put Attendance Directly into the Computer Each Hour. uOffice will excuse absences. uStudents Will Appear Excused Or Not Excused In The Teachers Classes Automatically. uSchool Sponsored Activities Will Be Posted In Your Classes Automatically.

6 Grading Package uThis Is Not Grade2 uWe Will Not Be Using Grade2 uWe Will Survive uWe Must Survive uDid We Mention that SIS was Free!!! uThere are advantages to SIS uWhen We Find The Advantages Over Grade2, We Will Let You Know!!!

7 Internet Package uTeachers Can Input Grades From Home. uParents Can See If Their Student Is In Class Or Not. uGives Parents And Students Real Time Access To The Student’s Grades And Missing Assignments.

8 HOW TO LOG INTO S.I.S. uLog into your computer using your Novell Network Login. Examples Lron or Hruth uChoose the SIS2000+ Icon Located on the Desktop

9 Select Payson Middle From List

10 Type First Four Letters of your Last Name

12 A List Will Pop Up For You To Select Your Name From Then Click On The Select Button Notice ID Numbers

13 This Is What Will Appear When You Click On The Select Button

14 Now Input Your Password And Click On Login

15 If You See This Screen Success Is Yours

16 Check System Date

17 The Program Relies Exclusively On The System Date for Everything!!

18 Click on Date and Highlight Set System Date

19 This Is The Screen Where You Will Set The System Date

20 Here Are Button Definitions Forward One Month Forward One Year Back One Month Back One Year Don’t Forget To Click on Select When you are Done

21 IF You Were Successful At Changing The Date, Your System Date Should Be

23 Attendance Package uHow To Take Attendance. uWhat codes the teacher will use. uDistrict Sponsored Attendance Grade.

24 How To Take Attendance Click on The Class Entry Button

26 You Need To Highlight The Class You Need And Select Edit

29 Attendance Code Definitions uAttendance Taken l Use This Button If All Students Are Present uPresent l Use This To Change an Individual Student’s Attendance From Late u Unexcused Absent l Self Explanatory uTardy l Use This If A Student Is 10 Min or Less Late. uLate Tardy l Use This If A Student Is More Than Ten Minutes Late.

30 Click Appropriate Attendance Code Then Click on The Student’s Name

31 Each Code Has A different Color!! Click Save When You Are Done

32 Click Quit When You Are Finished With Attendance And This Menu will Appear You Are Now Ready to Setup The Grade Book

33 Grade Book Setup uIn Order To Do Grade Book Setup, You Will Need The Following l A List of Classes You Will Be Teaching l Grade Point Breakdowns for your Classes Examples: A = 95, A- = 90 l Grading Categories That You Use Examples: Tests, Assignments, Attendance, l Assignments If You Already Have Some Planned

35 Click On The Grade Book Button Always Check your System Date

36 This Is The Initial Grade Book Screen Notice That There are only 2 Black Buttons

38 Grade Book Subject Setup Definitions uSubject l (Each Class Must Have 2 Subjects) Academic Grade Citizenship Grade* uCategory l ( Each Subject must Have at Least 1 Category) Tests, Assignments, Attendance, Citizenship* uWeight( Total must = 100 ) l Weight of each Category Example Tests = 50 Assignments = 30 Attend. = 20

39 Select The 1st Class You Teach *Notice Red Circle Areas Are Blank Click On The Subject Button

40 You Must Click On The Add Button First

41 You Need To Type in Academic Scores Here Select Percentage Method

42 Mark Set = Grade Point Breakdowns Select Blanks Count as Zeros or Not

43 This Finishes Academic Scores Subject Choose Save

44 You Must Click On The Add Button Again Citizenship Subject Setup Is Now Required

45 Setup is Just Like Academic Grade except Set Marks When You Finish Click Save, Then Quit

46 You Should See The Following Screen Notice There are 2 Subjects in the Subject Screen

47 Now You Will Choose Category At The Bottom Of The Screen Make Sure Academic Grade is Gray!!

48 Category Setup For Academic Grades Make Sure Subject is Academic Grade Click Add, Input Your Category Name And Weight, Then Click Save. Repeat Until You Have All Categories Defined Total Must equal 100% Then Click Quit

49 Task Menu Click The Add Button To Add A Grade

50 Rules For Adding A Grade uMake Sure That You Have The Correct Subject Selected. uMake Sure You Have The Right Category Selected. uMake Sure That You Set The Due Date!!! uMake Both Long And Short Task Descriptions Clear.
