2. Introduction Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s) are already a staple of US Foreign Policy and potential domestic implementation is looming. The topic of the application of drones is very polarizing. Several ethical dilemmas.

3. Technology I chose to profile four models made by General Atomics a company based out of San Diego. 4. Technology General Atomics is one among hundreds of drone manufacturers. Manufacturing operations are not limited to predator type drones, but rather cover a large range of different robotic prototypes. The technology is getting more advanced every day.

5. Benefits Ultimate counter-intelligence capabilities Limit the casualties of soldiers on the battlefield Limit the damage to the infrastructure of the towns in which strikes are being implemented. Limit civilian causalities Potentially beneficial domestic applications: disaster relief, fugitive profiling, border patrol.

6. Criticisms Domestic use leads to questions over what will the application of surveillance technology. It places to much control in the hands of the government On a foreign scope drone strikes still cause massive structural damage to settlements. Have we seen the value of foreign drone strikes? Do we feel safer as a result of these?
