4 Examples: McDonalds Disneyland The United States Harry Potter California Susan Africa names  Proper nouns are ALWAYS capitalized because they are the names of people, places, and things.

5 Examples: table dog backpack class person boy breakfast book  Common Nouns are all other nouns that aren’t proper. They are the every day, common nouns.
