What is an idea? Where do ideas comes from? From our mind – the brain creates Thought or concept Potentially or actually exists in the mind from mental activity

IDEA CREATION MODEL Mind mapping technique 1.Use blank paper – landscape 2.Start at the centre. Write your theme 3.Use colored pens or pencils to draw a central image. 4.Use curved lines to branch out from central theme – 1 st level 5.Write one key word on the branch. Extend from each 1 st level to the 2 nd level. 6.Use images throughout

IDEA CREATION MODEL Put to Another Use Can you use this product somewhere else, perhaps in another industry? Who else could use this product? How would this product behave differently in another setting? Could you recycle the waste from this product to make something new? Eliminate How could you streamline or simplify this product? What features, parts, or rules could you eliminate? What could you understate or tone down? How could you make it smaller, faster, lighter, or more fun? What would happen if you took away part of this product? What would you have in its place?

Police riot barricade The below fence/barricade is used to control crowd from entering. Problem: when crowd builds up, they move forward and topple the fence/barricade down and they enter. How can you prevent the barricade from toppling?
