2. THE BUILDING The school is quite old so now it is being restaured The building is big: there are two floors and the ground floor. It’s located in Casalmaggiore near the roundabout and the sports center (baslenga) but there’s also another building in Rivarolo del Re.

3. THE TIMETABLE We go to school from Monday to Saturday, we start at 7.50 and we finish at 1.00 p.m but on Wednsday and Friday we have lessons also in the afternoon so we finish at 3.30 p.m. we study 12 subjects: art, Italian, English, French, music, history, sports, technology, geography, maths, science and religion. The break lasts 10 minutes from 9.50 to 10.00 a.m.

4. THE HOLIDAYS We have a lot of holidays: oChristmas holidays (from 23–12 to 09- 01) oEaster holidays (from 21–04 to 26-04) oHolidays for the local fair ( 1-2-3-4 November) o1 st May bank holiday oCarnival ( 7-8 March) oRepublic Day ( 2nd June)

5. Rules oYou must arrive at school on time oYou must be responsible and polite oyou mustn’t bring your mobilephone, i- pod,camera at school oIf you need a medicine your parents must inform the school teacher oYou must wear proper clothes oYou must do your homework

6. Sanctions if you don’t go to school, if you are late or you don’t behave If you steal, falsify signature, throw objects to other students If you do violent acts You’ll be warned verbally first You’ll be sent away from school from 3 to 15 days) You’ll be sent away from school (more than 15 days)

7. EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM Children go to nursery school from 3 to 5 They go to primary school from 6 to 10 Boys and girls start secondary school (scuola media) from 11 to 13 years old From 14 to 18 they go to high school, there are differents schools: languages school, gymnasium, scientific school, music school and vocational schools. When they are eighteen if they want they can go to university.
